Motivational Quote: "Tough Times Don't Last. Tough People Do" - Unknown
My Interpretation: Tough Guys, and Girls, are not just physically strong they are also mentally strong enough to weather any storm no matter how long it may last. True Champions persevere.
Nutrition tip: Pack Your Snacks. Plans are always subject to change so make sure you always keep some healthy eats with you whenever you head out... ALWAYS.
Coaching Tip: Keep your Eyes Open. Your eyes are the #1 source of sensory input for proprioception (brain knowing where body is in space) so don't handicap yourself by closing your eyes when straining to reach your goal. Keep your eyes on the prize - literally.
Healthy Habit: Whenever you're tired catch a quick nap. Set an alarm for 22 to 25 minutes and lay down in a dark, cool, quiet atmosphere. A 20 minute nap is enough to refresh body and restore your senses without lapsing into a deep sleep cycle (over 30 mins) that would be difficult to peacefully emerge from & likely leave you feeling groggy. Keep it brief.
