Motivational Quote: "Be quick but don't hurry" - John Wooden UCLA Basketball Coach
My Interpretation: The quality of your effort is equally as important as the time it takes you to complete any given task. Speed should not affect quality.
Nutrition Tip: Plan Your Meals: Whenever you plan ahead for your meals you're much more likely to remain consistent with both your meal timing as well as the types of foods you want to consume. Plan to Eat S.M.A.R.T. so you can avoid unhealthy Fast (Convenient) Foods.
Coaching Tip: Keep your Head Up (Raised) - In most situations you want your head to be up so that you can be more aware of & ready to react to your immediate environment. Your body naturally wants to follow your line of sight so make sure you're focused on your target. Let your eyes lead the way.
Healthy Habit: Stay off the Scale. Stay off the scale unless you're trying to make weight for a competition there's no reason to get on the scale. Your goal is to consistently gain lean muscle while also reducing or maintaining (low) body fat. Sight (in mirror) and circumference measurements are a much more accurate gauge of progress.
